NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
STAYTON CITY COUNCIL
A public hearing will be held before the Stayton City Council on Monday, June 15, 2026, starting at 6:30 pm. The hearing will be held at the Stayton Community Center, 400 W Virginia St, Stayton, for the purpose of hearing testimony and rendering a decision regarding the following issue: LAND USE FILE #7-04/26 – An application for a Comprehensive Plan Map amendment from Residential to Downtown and an application to change the zoning from Low Density (LD) Residential to Downtown Residential Mixed Use (DRMU) for 579 E Washington Street (tax map lot 091W10DB03200).

council. If a community member has a barrier which prevents them from participating via one of the methods below, they should contact City staff at citygovernment@
staytonoregon.gov no less than three hours prior to the meeting start time to make arrangements to participate. You are encouraged to attend and participate in the public hearing. The hearing is your opportunity to learn about the proposal and to provide information to the City Council relative to the proposed Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map Amendment. The application and supporting documents are available for review at the City of Stayton Community and Economic Development Department, 311 N. Third Avenue, Stayton and is posted in the Planning Commission’s section of the City web site (www.staytonoregon.gov). The City’s staff is available to explain the proposed land application to you. A staff report and a recommended draft decision will be available seven days prior to the hearing and will be posted on the web site once completed. Failure to raise an issue in person or by letter to the City precludes appeal, and failure to identify the specific criterion to which the comment is directed precludes an appeal based on that criterion.
