NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO SELL SUCCESSION IMMOVABLE PROPERTY
NOTICE IS GIVEN to the heirs, legatees and creditors of the Successions, and to all other interested persons that VELMA DORSEY KEYES, Adminstratrix of the Successions of Felix Austin, Jr. and Eliza Kemplin Austin has pursuant to the provisions of La. C.C.P. 3282, applied for authority to sell the following described immovable property owned by the Successions of Felix Austin, Jr. and Eliza Kemplin Austin on the terms and conditions set forth in the application:
A parcel or tract of land being situated in the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 8, and the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Southwest Land District, Rapides Parish, Louisiana and being more particularly described as follows,
Commence at found 2" iron pipe being the Southeast corner of Section 7, Township 1 North, Range 1 West. Said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract described herein.
Thence run along the South line of Section 7 South 89 degrees 00 minutes 16 seconds West a distance of 1316.69 feet to a found iron rod. Thence leaving said South line run North 0 degrees 36 minutes 08 seconds West a distance of 663.26 feet to a found iron rod. Thence run South 89 degrees 12 minutes 59 seconds West a distance of 656.22 feet to a found iron rod. Thence run North 0 degrees 21 minutes 34 seconds West a distance of 666,00 feet to a found iron rod. Thence run North 89 degrees 27 minutes 06 seconds East a distance of 1970.91 feet to a set iron rod on the West line of Section 8. Thence run North 89 degrees 34 minutes 23 seconds East a distance of 1287.96 feet to a set iron rod. Thence run South 0 degrees 09 minutes 28 seconds East a distance of 1308.59 feet to a found iron pipe on the South line of Section 8. Thence run along said South line South 89 degrees 13 minutes 43 seconds West a distance of 1278.74 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 88.613 acres, more or less.
Said tract being shown on Certificate of Survey prepared by Meyer Meyer LaCroix & Hixon, dated August 11, 2023. Said tract being subject to all rights-of-ways, easements, and servitudes of record.
The Order granting such authority may be issued after expiration of ten (10) days from the date whereon the last publication of this Notice appears. Any opposition to the application must be filed prior to the issuance of the Order.
