BEDFORD TOWNSHIP MONROE COUNTY MICHIGAN   NOTICE OF FIRST HEARING DEER CREEK SUBDIVISION SUBDIVISION STREETLIGHT SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT   TO: All persons who own real property or who have an interest in real property, with frontage on the roads in Deer Creek Subdivision in the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan:   PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that upon a Petition having been filed with the Township requesting that the Township Board of the Township of Bedford proceed with a certain Streetlight project for the proposed Deer Creek Subdivision Streetlight Special Assessment District, and it appearing that the Petition was signed by the record owners of land constituting more than 50% of the total frontage upon the road or roads proposed to be improved, and upon the Township anticipating taking action based on that Petition, the Township Board of the Township of Bedford, County of Monroe, State of Michigan, will hold a public hearing at the Bedford Township Hall, 8100 Jackman Road, Temperance, Michigan 48182, on June 16th at 7:00 p.m., local time, to consider any objections to the foregoing matters, as well as to consider any revisions, corrections, amendments, or changes to said plans and estimates, or to the manner of setting up the special assessment district, or to the proposed Streetlight project to be fully or partially paid for by the special assessment district, or to the scope of the special assessment district, to be tentatively declared and designated by the Township Board of the Township of Bedford.   PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the Township Board has or will be receiving plans setting forth the proposed project, together with an estimate of the costs of such Streetlight project, and that these plans and estimates have been or will be placed on file with the Township Clerk of the Township of Bedford for public examination. The plans and estimates may be reviewed on any Monday through Friday at the Bedford Township Hall, 8100 Jackman Road, Temperance, Michigan 48182, telephone number: (734) 224-7320, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.   PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, THAT ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED TO BE PRESENT AT THE AFORESAID TIME AND PLACE AND TO SUBMIT COMMENTS CONCERNING ANY OF THE FOREGOING. AN APPEARANCE AND PROTEST IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO APPEAL THE AMOUNT OF THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO THE MICHIGAN STATE TAX TRIBUNAL. AN OWNER OR PARTY IN INTEREST, OR HIS OR HER AGENT MAY APPEAR IN PERSON AT THE HEARING TO PROTEST THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT, EITHER ORALLY OR IN WRITING, OR SHALL BE PERMITTED TO FILE HIS OR HER APPEARANCE OR PROTEST BY LETTER AND HIS OR HER PERSONAL APPEARANCE SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED.
