CLAIM NOTICE
Notice is given of the death of GILBERT E. RUNYON of Charter Senior Living, 2700 S. 14th Street, Pekin, Illinois 61554, on February 24, 2025. Letters of Office were issued on May 27, 2026 to ASHLEY K. RUNYON, Independent Administrator with Will Annexed, 1304 Charlotte St., Pekin, Illinois 61554, whose attorneys are HAYES & SARFF, P.C., 351 South Fourth Street, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
Claims may be filed on or before December 26, 2026 or six (6) months from the date of the first publication of this Notice of Claim Date, whichever is later. Any claim not filed on or before that date is barred, except that the claim of a creditor who has been notified by mail or delivery of notice shall be barred on said date or three months from the date of such mailing or delivery, whichever is later. Claims against the Estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of said Circuit Court at the Tazewell County Courthouse, Pekin, Illinois 61554, or with the Independent Administrator or both. Within ten (10) days after a Claimant files its claim with the Court. the Claimant MUST mail a copy of the claim to the Independent Administrator with Will Annexed AND to the Independent Administrator's attorney of record. AND file with the Court proof of mailing or delivery of said copies.
Notice is further given to all unknown heirs whether stated or not stated in the Petition to Admit Will to Probate. An Order was entered by the Court on May 27, 2026 admitting the aforesaid will to Probate. The names and addresses of such heirs and legatees are unknown and upon diligent inquiry cannot be ascertained. Within forty-two (42) days after the effective date of the original order of admission, any unknown heir may file a Petition with the court to require proof of the Will by testimony of the witnesses to the will in open court or other evidence as provided in Section 6-21 of Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/6-21). Any unknown heir, also has the right under Section 8-1 of Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the Will by filing a petition with the Court within six months after admission of the will to probate.
