The Budget Hearing of the Lafourche Parish Fire Protection District Number Three Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The hearing took place at the Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 Training Building at 17462 W Main St, Bldg B, Cut Off, La 70345. Chairman Reggie Pitre called the meeting to order at 6:17 PM.PLEDGE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG: Commissioner Reggie Pitre led the pledge to our flag.ROLL CALL OF COMMISSIONERS: Chairman Reggie Pitre – Present Commissioner Morris Guidry – Absent Commissioner Troy Dufrene – Absent Commissioner Aaron Montez – Present Vice-Chairman Dean Savoie – Present Chairman Pitre advised this hearing is to discuss the proposed budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Board members reviewed the proposed budget. Commissioner Pitre said that he has been in discussion with Michaela Guidry, Budget and Account Administrator. Chief Dedon talked about having more money than we normally have in the budget because of money from an insurance settlement as well as money in CDs from prior settlements that are all allocated to rebuilding stations and repaying FEMA at station closeouts.
