Notice is hereby given that The Savannah Downtown Historic District Board of Review will convene a zoning hearing regarding a special exception of the property described below on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Arthur A. Mendonsa Hearing Room at 112 E. State Street, Savannah, GA and via digital meeting platform at www.thempc.org.
Petition of Kevin Rose with Rose Architects, the Agent, on behalf of Queensborough National Bank and Trust, the Property Owner, for a special exception for 0.25 acres located at 402 E Broughton St (PIN 20004 42012). The request is to allow the required 4th-story portion of roof to be eliminated on Broughton Street. The subject Property is within the D-CBD (Downtown Central Business District) zoning district (26-003376-ZA).
Petition of Clay Copeland with Sunlight Solar, the Agent, on behalf of Michael Arcangelo, the Property Owner, for a special exception for 0.13 acres located at 603 Whitaker St, Unit A (PIN 20032 58002). The request is to permit installation of solar panels on the Property. The subject Property is within the D-R (Downtown Residential) zoning district (26-003265-ZA).
Petition of Gaines Moore with Better Tomorrow Solar, the Agent, on behalf of First African Baptist Church, the Property Owner, for a special exception for 0.17 acres located at 23 Montgomery St (PIN 20016 09001). The request is to permit installation of solar panels on the Property. The subject Property is within the D-CBD (Downtown Central Business District) zoning district (26-003264-ZA).
