NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
YORK COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS
Open Space and Trails Plan, Go York 2050, Economic Action Plan, and Growth Management Plan Map 20
The York County Board of Commissioners invites all citizens of York County to attend a Public Hearing to review and provide comments on proposed amendments to the York County Comprehensive Plan. The amendments include a complete update to the Open Space and Trails Plan and Go York 2050 (transportation plan), a partial update to the Economic Action Plan, and an update of the Growth Management Plan Map 20.
The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction with the regular weekly meeting of the York County Board of Commissioners as follows:

Copies of the proposed amendments are available for public review at the York County Planning Commission (YCPC) office, 28 East Market Street, York, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. They are also available on the YCPC website at https://ycpc.org/195/Public-Participation .
The York County Planning Commission (YCPC) fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), and all related nondiscrimination statutes and regulations in all programs and activities that prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, and disability. In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), YCPC will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

Effective Communication: YCPC will generally, upon request, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in YCPC programs, services, and activities, including qualified sign language interpreters, documents in Braille, and other ways of making information and communications accessible to people who have speech, hearing, or vision impairments.
Modifications to Policies and Procedures: YCPC will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services, and activities. For example, individuals with service animals are welcomed in YCPC offices, even where pets are generally prohibited.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of YCPC, should contact the YCPC Director at (717) 771-9870 or planner@ycpc.org as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
The ADA does not require the YCPC to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services or impose an undue financial or administrative burden within the grounds of falling under compliance with nondiscrimination rights and statutes.
Individuals who believe they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice by YCPC under Title VI or the ADA have a right to file a formal complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with YCPC’s Director and/or the appropriate state or federal agency. YCPC will not place a surcharge on a particular individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost of providing auxiliary aids/services or reasonable modifications of policy, such as retrieving items from locations that are open to the public but are not accessible to persons who use wheelchairs.
