NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PORTAGE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY ACTION PLAN AND PORTAGE COUNTY BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PLAN   Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in Conference Rooms 1 & 2 of the Portage County Annex, 1462 Strongs Avenue, Stevens Point, the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed Portage County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) and the proposed Portage County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan (BPP). The CSAP evaluates local crash trends to identify roadway safety issues and recommends strategies to reduce fatalities and serious injuries for all road users. The BPP provides guidance for developing a safe, connected bicycle and pedestrian network throughout the county. A copy of the proposed Plans may be viewed online at https://www.co.portage.wi.gov/735/Safe-Streets-Roads-For-All-Grant, or in-person 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday thru Friday, at the Portage County Planning & Zoning Department within the County Annex.   All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and be heard, and accommodations have been made to do so remotely if you prefer.
