PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Hearing Board of Smithfield Township has scheduled a Public Hearing at the Smithfield Township Municipal Building, 1155 Red Fox Road, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 18301 on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. for consideration of the following, to wit: A hearing on the application of Northeast Pennsylvania SMSA Limited Partnership dba Verizon Wireless for a variance from Section 27-512(4)(E)(3)(c)(1) of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a proposed monopole to be setback less than 100% of its height from adjacent property lines (minimum 155’ required; 54.3’ from the southern property line and 43.7’ from the eastern property line proposed) on a property located at 107 Shawnee Square, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 (PIN 16732100467829, Parcel 16.113533). The property is owned by Shawnee Square LP and is located in the Shawnee Valley Planed Residential Development and the R-1 Low Density Residential District of the Township.
