REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Sealed Bids will be received by Black Hawk College, on or before November 13, 2025, by 2:00 p.m. prevailing time for the Black Hawk College, Black Hawk College East Campus – Buildings 3 and 4 Demolition. Bid Categories are as follows.
1A. Building Demolition and Site Work
Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened at that time. The bid opening will occur at the Quad Cities Campus Building 1, Room 255, Black Hawk College, 6600 34th Avenue, Moline, Illinois 61265.
Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Trustees, Black Hawk College.
Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Bradley Bridges, Finance Office; Quad Cities Campus, Building 1 room 244A, Black Hawk College, 6600 34th Avenue, Moline, Illinois 61265.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 10:00AM at the site location of the demolition, Black Hawk College, 26230 Black Hawk Rd, Galva IL 61434. Representatives from the College and Construction Manager's office will be present to answer questions regarding bidding procedures and project requirements. We encourage all bidders to visit the site to view site conditions.
The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the College. Decisions of the College will be final.
All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
