26041EE0 Notice of Vacancy and Filing Deadline East Dakota Water Development District The following office has become vacant due to the resignation of the elective director. Director 6 representing Sioux Falls VTD-precincts 1-9, 1-10, 1-13, 1-14, 1-16, 1-17, 3-9, 3-10, 3-11, 3-15, 3-16, 3-17 and 3-19. Persons interested in being appointed to represent director area 6 of the East Dakota Water Development District must file a letter of interest with the East Dakota Water Development District, 132B Airport Avenue, Brookings, SD 57006, no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2026. The vacancy will be filled by appointed by the District Board of Directors at their meeting on May 21, 2026. The appointed director will serve the balance of the respective term, which will expire on December 31, 2028. If no qualified persons have filed letters of interest by the filing deadline, the Board will continue to accept nominating petitions until one or more is received. The Board will then fill the vacancy by appointment at a subsequent meeting, provided that the petitions are received at least three working days prior to the meeting.
