ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Gastonia will receive sealed proposals until 1:00 PM, THURSDAY, JANUARY 29, 2026 in Room 131 of the Garland Center, 150 S. York Street, Gastonia, NC 28052. for AVON CREEK GREENWAY EXTENSION at which time and place bids will be opened and read aloud. A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 131 of the Garland Center, at 10:00 AM, THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2026. Bidding Documents may be viewed online and ordered by registering with the Issuing Office at www.dpibidroom.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be purchased and downloaded from the Issuing Office's website as "zipped" portable document format (PDF) files. The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. The City of Gastonia reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Project Description: Extension of the Avon Creek Greenway from where it currently ends at E 2nd Avenue to the intersection of S Belvedere Ave and US-74. Work consists of new curb and gutter, sidewalks, multi-use path, asphalt resurfacing, and grading.
