CARSON CITY PURCHASING AND CONTRACTS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS BID No. 26300256 PWP CC-2026-127 TANSTAAFL Tank Rehabilitation Project Engineer's Estimate $510,000.00 SUMMARY: Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the TANSTAAFL Tank Rehabilitation Project. The project includes all common phases of construction customarily associated with this type of project. The tank is approximately 55 feet in diameter and approximately 24 feet tall. The area of 9,000 square feet listed in the bid summary is only an approximation of the total interior roof, wall and floor surface areas and does not include any additional square footage for beams and columns. Re-painting of the beams, columns and other items is included in the scope of work and shall be included in the contractors bid. Additional work also includes installing a new ladder, LAD Safety Ladder System and Ladder Guard, installing a passive cathodic protection system, miscellaneous steel work including but not limited to installing additional handrail, removing the existing ladder, installing and removing bungs, installing anchor safety points, removing Unistrut, installing new vent screens, and installing brackets for conduit. The water tank must be put back into service by May 29, 2026. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: Carson City has determined that all bidders shall be licensed by the State of Nevada to do the type and value of work contemplated in this project. The successful bidder shall possess a valid and applicable contractor's license issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board under the provisions of Chapter 624 of Nevada Revised Statutes, at the time of submitting its bid. BID DOCUMENTS: Digital copies of the plans, specifications and related documents for this project may be examined and downloaded through the link on the Carson City website http://www.carson.org/bids. QUESTIONS regarding this bid must be submitted via NGEM under the "QUESTIONS TAB" and can be submitted any time up to a minimum of (4) working days prior to bid opening. ADDENDA: All addenda can be found through the link on Carson City's website. It is each bidder's responsibility to ensure that they have received all addenda prior to submission of their sealed bid. BID OPENING will be held online via webex meeting at 11:30 a.m. on December 23, 2025, meeting link is provided in the activities tab in NGEM and will also be provided in an addendum. Bidders, their representatives, and all other interested persons may be present during the bid opening. AWARD RECOMMENDATION will be made by the Carson City Purchasing and Contracts Department.
