NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE
Mika Meyers PLC is attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
Notice of foreclosure by advertisement. Notice is given under section 3212 of the revised judicature act of 1961, 1961 PA 236, MCL 600.3212, that the following mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises, or some part of them, at a public auction sale to the highest bidder for cash or cashier's check at the place of holding the circuit court in Chippewa County, starting promptly at 10:00 a.m. on February 13, 2026. The amount due on the mortgage may be greater on the day of the sale. Placing the highest bid at the sale does not automatically entitle the purchaser to free and clear ownership of the property. A potential purchaser is encouraged to contact the county register of deeds office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge for a fee for this information.
Default has occurred in the conditions of a mortgage made by Fredrick Bellville, Jr. a single man with an inscribed address on the mortgage of 32 White Pine, Kincheloe, Michigan 49788, mortgagor, to Richard D. Bernhardt, with an inscribed address on the mortgage of 10 Fairway Dr., Kincheloe, Michigan 49788, mortgagee, dated February 5, 2009, recorded with the Chippewa County Register of Deeds , on April 16, 2009, at Liber 1067, Page 1433. Because of said default, the mortgagee has declared the entire unpaid amount secured by said mortgage due and payable forthwith.
As of the date of this notice, there is claimed to be due for principal, interest, late fees and penalties, unpaid taxes, and attorney fees the sum of $73,937.02 on such mortgage. No suit or proceeding in law has been instituted to recover the debt secured by said mortgage, or any part thereof.
Notice is hereby given that by virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, and the statute in such case made and provided, and to pay said amount with interest, as provided in said mortgage, and all legal costs, charges and expenses, including attorneys' fees allowed by law, and all taxes and insurance premiums paid by the undersigned before sale, said mortgage will be foreclosed by sale of the mortgaged premises at public sale to the highest bidder in the hallway of the Chippewa County Courthouse, 319 Court St, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783, on February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
The premises covered by said mortgage are situated in the Township of Kinross, County of Chippewa, State of Michigan, and are described as follows:
Lot No. 166, Cedar Grove Estates No. 1, according to the Plat recorded in Liber 11 of Plats, Pages 1-15, Chippewa County Records.
The property is commonly known as: 32 White Pine, Kincheloe, Michigan 49788.
Notice is hereby given that the length of the redemption period will be six (6) months from the date of sale, unless determined abandoned in accordance with MCL 600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of sale.
Notice is further given that if the property is sold at foreclosure sale, in accordance with MCL 600.3278, the Mortgagor will be held responsible to the person who buys the property at the mortgage foreclosure sale or to the mortgage holder for damaging the property during the redemption period.
