The Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of taking evidence and argument from the Petitioner, Respondent and Intervenors regarding the proposed closure of an at-grade crossing.
The crossing at issue is the Whittaker Road crossing with BNSF railroad track near the city of Laura, Illinois in Millbrook Township, Peoria County, Illinois. BNSF has filed Petition requesting the Commission to order that the grade crossing be closed. The evidence and argument will be taken to inform the Commission in its determination to grant or to deny the Petition. The at-grade crossing is inventoried as DOT #004615F, at railroad milepost 152.60. The road is commonly known as Whittaker Road.
