NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Williamstown Township Planning Commission

Pursuant to Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), the Williamstown Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Township Hall, 4990 Zimmer Road, Williamston, Michigan 48895.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a special land use applicationsubmitted by St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, 4656 Meridian Road, to allow the vacant "Parish Cottage" building to be used as a Montessori middle school. The Parish Cottage is just north of the historic chapel. Montessori Radmoor School proposes to lease the building for a minimum of two years for this purpose.
St. Katherine's is in an R-1, One Family Residential District. A school like the one proposed is permitted in the R-1 district, subject to special land use approval.
The site plan and application for the Montessori middle school may be examined at the Township Hall during regular business hours, Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing or submit written comments to the Planning Commission at 4990 Zimmer Rd., Williamston, MI 48895.
