NOTICE Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-2(a) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Council of the Township of Bridgewater in the County of Somerset at a meeting held on November 6, 2025, introduced and passed on first reading an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 138 (MASSAGE AND BODYWORK THERAPY) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRIDGEWATER TO CLARIFY CERTAIN PROVISIONS THEREOF This Ordinance amends Chapter 138 of the Municipal Code to clarify and significantly strengthen the Township's regulation of massage and bodywork therapy establishments, ensuring that local licensing, registration, and operational standards are aligned with the requirements of the New Jersey State Licensing Act, N.J.S.A. 45:11-53 et seq. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said ordinance will be further considered for final passage on December 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. or soon thereafter at a meeting of the Township Council to be held at 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. All persons interested shall be given an opportunity at that time to be heard concerning said ordinance. Any member of the general public may obtain, without cost, a copy of the entire ordinance from the Municipal Clerk at the Bridgewater Township Municipal Building, 100 Commons Way, during normal business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) at any time up to and including the time when the Township Council shall further consider this ordinance for final passage.
