PORT BUCYRUS – CRAWFORD COUNTY AIRPORT
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (local time), Thursday, May 21, 2026, and then publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, OH, 44820, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, and performing all work necessary for REHABILITATE TERMINAL APRON AND TAXIWAY C at Port Bucyrus-Crawford County Airport.
Work items include demolishing the old terminal building, asphalt pavement removal, asphalt pavement milling and overlay, full depth asphalt paving, pavement marking, airfield lighting, earthwork, ditch grading, storm sewer flushing, seeding, and mulching.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held Thursday May 7, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Airport Terminal Building. Site visits may be coordinated with Airport Manager Kevin Detray 419.562.7596. Contract Time. The Owner has established a contract performance time of 28 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice-To-Proceed for all project work, with phasing per the contract documents. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the Project Manual.
Bid Security. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount stated and payable to the order of the Owner. The Bid security shall be in the form of either
A Bid Bond for the full amount of the Bid issued by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Ohio, or A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit. Letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Owner. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit shall be equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid.
Performance & Payment Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in an amount equal to one-hundred (100) percent of the contract price at the time of contract execution.
Award of Contract. All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the City of Bucyrus for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of conducting the bid evaluation.
The right is reserved, as the City of Bucyrus may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in the bids received.
Award of contract is contingent upon the Owner receiving federal funding assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration under the Airports Improvement Program.
Federal Provisions. This project is subject to the required contract provisions for Airport Improvement Program and for Obligated Sponsors.
Sales Tax. The City of Bucyrus will provide sales tax-exempt documentation for the Contractor for necessary purchase of materials and equipment associated with the project used or supplied during construction.
