NOTICE TO BIDDERS This instrument shall serve as public notice that sealed proposals are requested for the following roadway improvements within the Town of Darmstadt, Indiana. #1 Orchard Rd- St Joseph Ave west to town line & St Joseph Ave east to town line, approximately 1,831' x 21' Provide traffic control. Mill start and stops for proper tie-in. Paving Area: 4,272 SYS, Milling 2" depth, Entire Road. Wedge & Level, 9.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. Full Depth Patch 5", 25.0mm HMA Base, Type B. Tack Coat 0.05-0.08 GAL/SYD. 2" 12.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. #53/#73 Shoulder Stone, 1 1/2'. Striping, 4" double yellow and white edge lines. #2 Old State Rd – Hillsdale Rd to Town limits at RR tracks, approximately 2,440' x 21.5' Provide traffic control (including temporary markings as needed), mill starts and stops for proper tie-in. Paving Area 5,830 SYS. Milling 2" Depth, Entire Width of Road (bridge deck to be milled off but may not be able to achieve 2" depth) Wedge & Level, 9.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. Thermoplastic RR Crossing to match existing. #3 Fleener Rd – Darmstadt Rd to St Joseph Ave, approximately 6,005' x 19' Provide traffic control, Mill starts and stops for proper tie-in. Paving Area: 12,670 SYS Transitional Milling - @ Darmstadt Rd & St Joseph Ave tie-in. Wedge & Level, 9.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. Full Depth Patch 5", 25.0mm HMA Base, Type B. Tack Coat @ 0.05-0.08 GAL/SYD. 1 1/2" 9.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. #53/#73 Shoulder Stone, 1 1/2'. Striping, 4" double yellow and white edge lines. #4 Martin Rd - Boonville New Harmony Rd to Inglefield Rd, approximately 5,205' x 18.5' Provide traffic control, Mill starts and stops for proper tie-in. Paving Area: 10,700 SYS Transitional Milling @ all start/stops & intersections, 6 total transitions. Wedge & Level, 9.5mm HMA Surface, Type B. Full Depth Patch 5", 25.0mm HMA Base, Type B (includes widening radius @ Inglefield Rd) Tack Coat @ 0.05-0.08 GAL/SYD. 1 1/2" 9.5mm Surface, Type B. #53/#73 Shoulder Stone, 1 1/2'. Striping, 4" double yellow and white edge lines. Each of the projects must be bid separately. Combined bids can also be made if the contractor is offering a lesser cost if all projects are done together. The contractor shall pave up to 2 ft wider where required for driveways & mailboxes. The new pavement shall be striped as it is now. NOTE: All traffic control and warning signs shall be the responsibly of the contractor. Sealed proposals must be submitted by 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at which time proposals received shall be delivered to the Town of Darmstadt at 559 Hoing Road, Darmstadt, Indiana 47725, open and read aloud in the Town Hall. Any proposal received unsealed or past the designated time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Proposals and security shall be sealed together in an envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the title of the work; and all prepared according to such particulars as shall be described in this document. Improperly completed proposals may be disregarded by the Town Council. Successful bidders shall sign contracts with the Town Council within five (5) days of the notice of award.
