NOTICE TO ISAAC ALLEN ROBINSON JR Violette Elaine Robinson was born to Valencia Janae Cochrane in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on April 15, 2019. A Petition for a stepparent adoption has been filed and is pending in the Superior Court of DeKalb County, Georgia, 556 N McDonough Street, Decatur, Georgia 30030 (Case No. 25-AD-068-5). The final hearing has been set for 8:45 a.m., on December 17, 2025, Courtroom 5-D, before Judge Gregory A. Adams. Be advised that your parental rights to the child will be terminated upon the finalization of the adoption. The Petitioner has alleged that you have: without justifiable cause, [1] significantly failed to communicate or to make a bona fide attempt to communicate with the child in a meaningful, supportive, parental manner as set out in paragraph (1) of subsection (b) of Code Section 19-8-10 for a period of one year or longer; [2] Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 19-8-10(b)(2), have failed to provide for the care and support of the minor child as required by law or judicial decree for a period of one year or longer; [3] Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 19-8-10(a)(5), have "failed to exercise proper parental care or control due to misconduct or inability," as set out in O.C.G.A. § 15-11-310(a)(3),(4) and (5); and [4] Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 15-11-2(1)(A)(B) and (C), abandoned the child, O.C.G.A. § 15-11-2(1) shows the definition of "Abandoned" (1) "Abandonment" or "abandoned" means any conduct on the part of a parent, guardian, or legal custodian showing an intent to forgo parental duties or relinquish parental claims. You have no obligation to file an answer, but you do have the right to appear at the hearing and to show cause why your parental rights should not be terminated by his adoption.
