Present: Board Members: Marty Chitty, Leanne Harter, Joe Anderson, Tom Maier, Amici Hayek, Tori Carsud, Emily Schaack, Jaden Grimm, Chiara Chappell

1.Call to Order at 6:30 p.m.
2.Approval of Agenda - Motion to approve the agenda with additions by Anderson second by Hayek Motion Carried 5-0
3.Public Comment – None
4.Action
4.1Approval of Abstract of Board Election – The Abstract of Votes from November 4th for Nevada School Director At-Large shows that Tori Carsrud had 809 votes and Emily Schaack had 756 votes and were elected to four-year terms on the Board. The voters also approved the public measure PPEL (Physical Plant and Equipment Levy) to be levied annually for the next ten years. Motion to approve the Abstract of Votes by Anderson, second by Hayek, motion carried 5-0.
5.Consent Agenda – Motion to approve the consent agenda with additions by Anderson, second by Hayek, motion carried 5-0.

6.Recognition of Outgoing Board Members – Dr Gray presented Anderson and Hayek each with a plaque recognizing their service to the board and also a lifetime athletic pass to Nevada's home games for them and one other person.

Board Reorganization
1.1 Call to Order at 6:43 p.m. by Board Secretary Tammy Ellis
1.2 Roll Call – The record shows that Board members Marty Chitty, Tom Maier. Leanne Harter and Board elect members Tori Carsrud and Emily Schaack were present.
1.3Oath of Office to New Board Members – Ellis administered the Oath of Office to the new Board members.
1.4Election of President – Ellis called for nominations for Board President. Maier nominated Marty Chitty, Harter seconded the nomination. Motion carried 4-0 (abstain Chitty).
1.5Election of Vice-President – Chitty called for nominations for Board Vice-President. Harter nominated Maier for Vice-president, second by Schaack. Motion carried 4-0.
1.6 Operating Practices
Motion by Maier, second by Harter to authorize the Board President and Board Secretary to issue payroll checks, pay utility bills and bills that carry a discount if paid within a specified time period. Motion carried 5-0
Motion by Schaack, second by Maier to approve the official publication (Newspaper of General Circulation) to the Nevada Journal. Motion carried 5-0
Motion by Harter, second by Maier to approve Ahlers & Cooney as Legal Counsel. Motion carried 5-0

2.1 FY26 Line-Item Budget – Business Manager, Tammy Ellis presented the FY26 General Fund Line-Item Budget. Motion to approve the FY26 GF Line-Item Budget as presented by Carsrud, second by Maier. Motion carried 5-0
3. Consent Agenda – Motion by Harter to approve the consent agenda as presented, second by Maier. Motion carried 5-0

4. Board Items
4.1 Board Member Comments – Chitty asked about the Friday we're not having school due to the State Football Championship game, if that will be made up at the end of the year pushing the last school day to June 4? Dr Gray responded with yes it will push the last day back unless the board decides otherwise later on after we see what the winter weather does. Schaack and Carsrud thanked everyone for the votes during the school board election. Jayden Grimm mentioned that Nevada had great support and attendance at the football semifinals at the UNI Dome. 4.2 Board Calendar – The next board meeting will be December 1, 2025 5.
