Special Meeting
1. Call to Order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Approval of Agenda Motion by Schaack, second by Carsrud to approve the agenda for the Special
Meeting. Motion Carried 5-0
3. Proposed FY27 Property Tax Levy – Ellis explained the Proposed Tax Notice to the Board.
4. Public Hearing – Chitty opened the public hearing for the Proposed Tax Notice as published in the
Nevada Journal on Thursday March 19. No one was present to speak.
5. Establish Date for Public Hearing B: The Board discussed times for Public Hearing B which will be
held on April 28 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the conference room at the District Office.
6. Adjourn the Special Meeting at 6:40 p.m.
Regular Meeting
1. Call to Order at 6:41 p.m.
2. Approval of the Agenda – Motion by Maier, second by Harter to approve the agenda as
presented with additions for the Regular Meeting. Motion Carried 5-0
3. Public Comment – None
4. Information
4.1 Policy Review 303.5 Administrator Duties – Dr Gray presented policy 303.5 as it aligns with
IASB. Some edits were discussed and Dr Gray will bring back the policy review at the next board
meeting.
5. Action Agenda –
5.1 Benefit Source – Health Renewal Options
Jackson Webster from Benefit Source who has been the districts benefit consultants for the last
several years presented the board with an update on the district's health insurance plans. The
district is currently on a partially self-funded plan, Jackson discussed the districts options of
changing to a self-funded insurance plan. The change would allow the insurance fund to grow
and there would be no changes for the employees. Motion to approve Plan C for a self-funded
insurance plan by Carsrud, second by Harter Motion Carried 4-0
5.2 Used Bus Quotes – Transportation Director, Jason Sampson presented the need to replace
bus #14 due to it being unsafe. Three bids were received between diesel and propane busses.
Motion by Schaack to approve the purchase of a 2024 Blue Bird 77 passenger bus for $85,000,
second by Harter, Motion Carried 4-0
5.3 MS Chromebook Cycle Quotes – Technology Director, Joe Wakeman presented the board with quotes for the normal four-year chromebook rotation for the middle school. Motion byHarter to approve the Trafera quote for $214,225, second by Carsrud Motion Carried 4-0.
6. Consent Agenda – Motion by Carsrud second by Schaack to approve the agenda as presented Motion

7.1 Board Member Comments – Chiara talked about the HS musical and drama related activities being
over for the year, the middle school musical is coming up in a few days. Tennis and track is going well,
Chiara says the girls track not being in held in the spring seems to be going well. Some middle teachers
asked the seniors to help with the 8th grade transition into high school. Chiara feels this was really helpful
for the 8th graders and hopes they continue that every year. Prom is coming up, Chiara commented on
the After Prom and is glad that it's held at the school to help kids stay out of trouble.
7.2 The next regular Board meeting is Monday April 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
