Notice - Apalachin Fire District PUBLIC NOTICE APALACHIN FIRE DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Apalachin Fire District, Tioga County, New York, at the regular meeting held on November 18, 2025 duly adopted, subject to a permissive referendum, a resolution, an abstract of which is as follows: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS TO EXPEND UP TO $180,000 FROM THE BUILDING RESERVE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 25 NEW ST APALACHIN AND ANY APPLICABLE FEES, TAXES, OR SERVICESTHAT MAY BE REQUIRED OR APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS FOR THEACQUISITION OF SAID PROPERTY FOR A POTENTIAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE FUTURE, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM. RESOLUTION Dated November 18, 2025 RESOLVED, this 18th day of November 2025 by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Apalachin Fire District, Town of Owego, County of Tioga, State of New York, as follows: Section 1.The purchase of 25 New St, Apalachin and any applicable fees, taxes, or services including but not limited to the purchase price, legal fees, applicable taxes, recording fees, or other typical costs associated with property acquisitions,authorized at a maximum cost of $200,000 pursuant to section 6-g of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Section 2. The plan for financing of the aforesaid object or purpose consists of an expenditure of up to $180,000.00 from the principal and accumulated interest of the building capital reserve fund, duly established in 2003, to acquire, improve, or dispose of real property of the Fire District and the Operational Funds of the Fire District. Section 3.This resolution shall be subject to permissive referendum, as permitted by law. BY ORDER OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE APALACHIN FIRE DISTRICT, OWEGO, NEW YORK.
