PUBLIC HEARING (S) ON
PROPOSED ENACTMENT ORDINANCE(S)
The City Commission of the City of Daytona Beach will meet and hold public hearings on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commission Chambers, Room 290, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The proposed Ordinance(s) listed by title below will be considered for final adoption. The public may inspect the proposed Ordinance(s) at the City Clerk's Office, Room 210, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance(s). Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure, at his/her own expense, the taking and preparation of a verbatim record of all testimony and evidence of the proceeding upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), persons needing a special accommodation to participate in the Commission proceedings should contact the City Clerk's Office not later than three (3) days prior to the proceedings at 386-671-8023.
The title(s) of the proposed Ordinance(s) are as follows:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) ARTICLE 3, SECTION 3.4.DD TO ADOPT PROCEDURES FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCES IN COMPLIANCE WITH FLORIDA SENATE BILL NO. 954 AND § 397.487, FLORIDA STATUTES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) ARTICLE 11, SECTION 11.5 TO ADD A DEFINITION OF SOCIAL SERVICE USES AND TO MODIFY EXISTING DEFINITIONS FOR GENERAL INDUSTRIAL SERVICES AND VENDING MACHINES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO REZONE 10.16± ACRES OF PROPERTY, GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF LPGA BOULEVARD, NORTH OF ROYAL COUNTY BOULEVARD, FROM SFR-5 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL-5) TO PD-G (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT-GENERAL); APPROVING THE COMMONS AT LPGA PLANNED DISTRICT AGREEMENT TO ALLOW FOR OFFICE AND RETAIL USES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) RELATING TO CITY ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS; AMENDING ARTICLE 2, SECTIONS 2.2.C.3 AND 2.5.C.3 TO ALLOW ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS WHO LOSE THEIR ZONE RESIDENCY-BASED QUALIFICATION TO SERVE OUT THE REMAINDER OF THEIR TERM; AMENDING ARTICLE 2, SECTION 2.4 TO REDUCE MEMBERSHIP FOR THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD FROM 9 TO 7 MEMBERS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 163.3187, FLORIDA STATUTES, WITH REGARD TO 0.66± ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF GEORGE W ENGRAM BLVD. BETWEEN GARDEN STREET AND ELLSWORTH STREET.; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP designation for this property from LEVEL 2 RESIDENTIAL (L2-R) to commercial transitional (comm-t); REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
