PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE Commissioners of Fire District No.1 Franklin Township, Somerset County CAPITAL MEETING AND VOTE - December 15th, 2025 Please be advised that the Board of Commissioners of Fire District No. 1 in the Township of Franklin, Somerset, County New Jersey, shall hold a capital meeting & vote on December 15, 2025 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Franklin Township Fire District No.1 Commissioners Office located at 370 Campus Dr Suite 102, Somerset NJ 08873, to secure voter approval for two questions. Question #1 Purchase of an Apparatus, relative to compliance of apparatus for the extinguishment of fires and public safety for an amount not exceeding $2,000,000.00. Using funds previously accrued for this planned replacement purchase over 5 years through taxation. No additional funding would need to be raised by taxation for this purchase. Question #2 Purchase of an SCBA Cascade Air Compressor and Filling Station. This filling station is relative to the need of obtainable safe breathing air for firefighters during the extinguishment of fires and public safety for an amount not exceeding $100,000.00. Using funds previously accrued for this planned replacement purchase over 5 years through taxation. No additional funding would need to be raised by taxation for this purchase. At said meeting the legal voters shall either approve or disapprove of said proposed capital projects and the amount of monies to be expended concerning the projects.
