PUBLIC NOTICE – CDBG PROGRAM AMENDMENT (PY2024) PUBLIC NOTICE PORTAGE COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM PROPOSED AMENDMENT – PY2024 ALLOCATION The Portage County Board of Commissioners is proposing an amendment to its PY2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program administered by the Ohio Department of Development. The proposed amendment consists of the reallocation of funds between existing activities. Specifically, Forty-Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($42,500) will be reallocated from the Streetsboro Demolition Project to the Streetsboro Public Service Senior Mowing Program. The senior mowing program will benefit low- to moderate-income senior residents. This amendment does not involve the creation of a new activity; therefore, a public hearing is not required. However, in accordance with the Portage County Citizen Participation Plan, citizens are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed amendment. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The public comment period will begin on April 25, 2026, and end on May 9, 2026.
