PUBLIC NOTICE In accordance with the Construction Stormwater General Permit from the NPDES General Permit Program, this is to notify the public that the project site owner listed below is submitting a Notice of Intent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to discharge storm water from construction activities associated with the following: The project site, to be known as IMI Muncie Stockpile Berm SWPPP, is located on the north side of CR 350 N, approximately 0.75 miles east of the intersection of CR 350 N and SR 67 in Muncie, IN, Delaware County, in Hamilton Township. The project involves the stripping of topsoil and using the stripped topsoil to construct a berm along the north side of CR 350 N. Additionally, minor site grading and a pipe extension is also included in this construction scope. The existing site is divided into two watersheds. The northwest half of the site drains to the northwest towards Hamilton Ditch. The southeast half drains to two depressional areas located on the southeastern portion of the site. These depressional areas will eventually drain to the north/northwest to an existing swale. Discharge will drain to Hamilton Ditch and then ultimately to Muncie Creek. Construction is anticipated to begin in Winter 2025 / Spring 2026. Contact information for the project site owner is as follows: Irving Materials, Inc.
