PUBLIC NOTICE
THE SCHOOL BOARD OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA, will conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to §1001.42(4)(f)2., Florida Statutes, to consider the current school start times and the impact of implementing any changes under the provisions of s.1001.42(4)(f)2., Florida Statutes, including the financial impact for the School District.
The Public Hearing will be conducted during the School Board's regular meeting on January 12, 2026, at 6:15 p.m., or soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. The meeting will be conducted at the School District's Central Administration Complex located at 202A Highway 85 North, Niceville, Florida, in the Boardroom. This meeting is open to the press and public.
Any interested party who decides to appeal any decision made by the Okaloosa County School Board with respect to any matter considered during this meeting, will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice does not constitute consent by the School Board for the introduction or admission of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law.
