Public Notice MAT Fare Increase There will be a public meeting on Wednesday May 27th. from 5 to 6 pm at the Marion Area Transit Building located at 137 S. State St. in Marion. They will be discussing the pending increase in fees that will be effective on July 1. 2026 Rates will increase as listed. Elderly, Disabled and Students will go from $.60 per ride to $1 per ride. Adults will go from $1.25 per Ride to $2 Monthly Passes will also increase. Elderly, Disabled and Students will go from $15 per month to $21. Adults will go from $30 per month to $42. On- demand services will also increase. On-Demand elderly, disabled and students will increase between $.65 and $1.90 depending on distance On-Demand Adult Service will increase between $1.25 and $3.75 depending on distance.
