Public Notice This Notice is to hereby serve as notice that starting December 15th, 2025 that Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department will be charging fees set forth by the State of Indiana Fire Marshall Office persuant to Indiana Code IC 36-8-12-13 and IC 36-8-12-16 and IC 36-8-12-17. Indiana Code 36-8-12-13 Allows for charges for hazardous materail fuel spills and chemical or hazardous material-related fires. 36-8-12-16 Allows service charges for any type of response. The recomended fee scale per IC 36-8-12-16(h) is as follows: Intial Fire Apparatus is $500.00 per vehicle Intial Command Vehicle is $200 per vehicle On scene time is $400.00 per hour for Fire Apparatus (or fraction there of) On scene time is $200.00 per hour for Command Vehicle (or fraction there of) Expendable Materials will be billed at replacement cost. 36-8-12-17 Allows for service charges for any type of false alarm calls. This charge will be $200.00 per incident.
