Public Notice of Significant Industrial Wastewater Violations The City of Belmont, in accordance with Federal and State Regulations is hereby giving Public Notice. Listed below are Significant Industrial Users that were in significant noncompliance (SNC) with national pretreatment regulations, 40 CFR Part 403, and state pretreatment regulations, 15 NCAC 2H .0900, and local pretreatment regulations during the period of January 1 through November 30, 2025; US Cotton-Reporting Violations, Permit Limit Violations and IUP Condition Violations. A continuing effort is being made by US Cotton to achieve compliance, including upgrading existing equipment, implementing new pretreatment methods and continued progress is expected until full compliance can be attained.
