The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge F&AM of Maryland and its Jurisdictions, Inc., is soliciting a Request for Proposals with price quote for work to provide temporary shoring of a historic building located at 132 Bethel St. in Hagerstown in anticipation of its restoration.
A plan produced and sealed by a registered structural engineer is available that describes the need for temporary support for a problem beam to stabilize the building so restoration work can begin.
Work involves a temporary post in the basement supporting the first floor main beam one above it on the first floor supporting the main beam between the first and second floors.
The necessary building permits from the City of Hagerstown will be secured for this project once RFP has been accepted.
Project is funded by a grant by the State of Maryland and work and payment terms shall be in accordance with State procurement regulations.
