PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Canandaigua Town Zoning Board of Appeals will be conducting public hearings on the applications listed below on Tuesday December 16, 2025, beginning at 6:00pm. Written comments will be accepted until the day prior to the meeting. This meeting will be held in person at the Town Hall lower level Onnalinda Conference Room, as well as by Zoom. Stephen Ashe, 3975 County Road 16, Canandaigua, NY is requesting multiple area variances for teardown and rebuild of a single-family home in the residential lake district. Front setback variance required of 38.5 ft, where 50 ft is required and 11.5 ft is proposed. This variance would increase the degree of nonconformity by 6.4 ft. Rear setback variance required of 23.8 ft, where 30 ft is required and 6.2 ft is proposed. This variance would increase the degree of nonconformity by 1.4 ft. Building coverage variance required of 9.5%, where 25% is required and 34.5% is proposed. The previous coverage was 21.88%.
