NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York, at a meeting held on April 21, 2026, duly adopted the following resolutions (abstracts of which are published herewith) each subject to a permissive referendum.
1) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $3,000,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $3,000,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such class of objects or purposes is 15 years pursuant to subdivision 28 of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
2) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $240,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $240,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such class of objects or purposes is 15 years pursuant to subdivision 28 of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
3) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $475,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $475,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such class of objects or purposes is 20 years pursuant to subdivision 72(a) of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
4) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RECONSTRUCTION AND RESURFACING OF ROADS IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $1,967,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $1,967,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such class of objects or purposes is 15 years pursuant to subdivision 20 of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
5) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING VARIOUS IMPROVEMENTS AT TOWN GOLF COURSES IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $5,300,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $5,300,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such class of objects or purposes is 15 years pursuant to subdivision 54 of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
6) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MAINTENANCE BUILDING FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $1,000,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $1,000,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such specific object or purpose is 30 years pursuant to subdivision 11(a)(1) of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
7) BOND RESOLUTION DATED APRIL 21, 2026.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF ORANGETOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT A MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST OF $400,000 AND AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, THE ISSUANCE OF $400,000 BONDS OF SAID TOWN TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
The period of probable usefulness of such specific object or purpose is 25 years pursuant to subdivision 12(a)(1) of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law.
Each of such resolutions pledges the full faith and credit of the Town to the payment of the obligations authorized to be issued and delegates to the Supervisor, the Chief Fiscal Officer, the power to authorize the issuance of and to sell such obligations. Additionally, each of such resolutions contains the estoppel clause provided for by Section 80.00 of the Local Finance Law and authorizes such resolution, after taking effect to be published in summary form in the official newspaper, together with a notice of the Town Clerk, in substantially the form provided in Section 81.00 of the Local Finance Law.
