The Adel City Council met in regular session at Adel City Hall, 301 S. 10th Street, Adel, Iowa on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. At 6:00 p.m., Mayor Peters called the meeting to order. The following answered roll: Ockerman, Trout, McAdon, West, and Selby.
Staff Present: Deputy City Administrator/Finance Director Sandquist, City Clerk Erickson, City Attorney Stone, Public Works Director Overton, Police Chief Book, Library Director Jayne, Parks & Recreation Director Schenck, and Community Development Director Nichols.

Motion by Ockerman, seconded by Selby, to appoint Kate Marple to the Library Board.

4.b. Consider Approval of the City of Adel Profile for the City Administrator Search
There was not a formal vote of approval, but the Council suggested changes to the profile to be completed before publication.
4.c. Consider Approval of Sidewalk Regulations Waiver Request from O'Reilly Auto Parts
Motion by Ockerman, seconded by Selby, to approve the sidewalk waiver request for O'Reilly Auto Parts.

4.d. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 25-64, Determining the Necessity and Fixing a Date for a Public Hearing on the Matter of the Adoption of a Proposed Amended and Restated Adel Urban Revitalization Plan for Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

1. City Clerk Erickson reminded the Council and Mayor that she sent a sign up earlier in the day for 30-minute interviews with McGrath Consulting September 23-25.
