Advertisement for Bid CAREER & TECHNICAL CENTER FOR: CHICKASAW COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT HOUSTON, MISSISSIPPI Sealed, written formal bid proposals for the above bid will be received by Chickasaw County School District, at Chickasaw County School District's office located at 636 Starkville Rd, Houston, Mississippi 38851, until 2:00 PM (Local Prevailing Time) Thursday, April 30, 2026, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Chickasaw County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five (45) calendar days from the date bids are opened. All Contractors who intend to submit "BIDS" are ENCOURAGED to attend the NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference at the Chickasaw County School District's office on April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM local prevailing time. The successful bidder will be allowed two hundred forty (240) calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. This project is financed by an Appalachian Regional Commission Grant and is subject to the rules and regulations thereof.
