ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDDERS FROM DANBY FIRE DISTRICT The Danby Fire District invites submission of bids for "MAINTENANCE OF CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE" for the Danby Fire Station at 1780 Danby Road, Rt. 96B, Ithaca, NY and West Danby Fire Station at 47 Sylvan Lane, Spencer, NY 14883. Part A: removal of deteriorated concrete and subsequent replacement and patching, floor joint repair and polymer overlays at both fire stations in apparatus bays. Part B: At West Danby Fire Station only: floor tile removal, resurface, paint and seal existing concrete floors in interior public areas, offices, etc.. Bidding instructions may be obtained from Secretary by emailing secretary@danbyfiredistrict.org or by calling the Danby Fire District at 607-319-4721. Bidding shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A pre-bid site tour will be held on July 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at 1780 Danby Road, Ithaca, New York 14850 and held on July 14, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at 47 Sylvan Lane, Spencer, New York 14883. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory for submitting a bid but is strongly encouraged. Bidders may arrange a site visit at additional times by making prior arrangements with the Architect. Preferred contact method is to email: secretary@danbyfiresdistrict.org. Failure to visit the site to verify site conditions that may impact the bid does not relieve the bidder from any scope of work that could have been ascertained by visiting the site. Questions shall be submitted in writing to the architect; verbal responses are not binding. Addenda issued during bidding shall become part of the Contract Documents, and bidders shall include all resulting costs in the Bid Amount. Base Bids shall be based on the Contract Documents; proposed substitutions may be submitted only as Alternate Bids with supporting information sufficient for evaluation. Owner may reject incomplete, unsigned, improperly executed, conditional, irregular, nonresponsive, or non-responsible bids. The successful bidder shall provide required Performance and Payment Bonds, if required by the Contract Documents, with the cost included in the Bid Amount. Award, if made, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, subject to the Owner's right to reject any or all bids and to change the bidding schedule or terminate the procurement process as permitted by law. Bid Security of 10% of bid shall accompany each bid. Sealed bids for this work to be provided to Danby Fire District, Attention Secretary, 1780 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 or by email at secretary@danbyfiredistrict.org by 5:00 PM August 7, 2026 and they will be publicly read aloud on August 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.. Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. The Danby Fire District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid best suited for its specific needs.
