Garden Spring Rehabilitation Project
General Notice:
Gerlach General Improvement District (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Garden Spring Rehabilitation Project
PWP No. WA-2026-092
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Gerlach Community Center located at 410 Cottonwood Street, Gerlach, NV 89412, until Thursday, August 13th, 2026 at 11:00 am local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project includes the following Work:
Furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and services for the rehabilitation of the existing Garden Spring in Gerlach, NV. The Garden Spring was constructed in the late 1920s. This project aims to rehabilitate and provide a greater level of source water protection to the spring. The work generally includes removal of vegetation around the spring site, removal of the existing spring collection system, temporary dewatering during construction, installation of new river rock, collection pipe, HDPE Liner, collection headwall, and a collection box and related work required by the Contract Documents.

Bidding Documents can be viewed and then purchased online for $22.00 through Quest CDN. The link can be found on the Shaw Engineering website under "Bidding". The Engineer will record only those parties who have obtained the Contract Documents through Quest CDN and are listed on the plan holders list. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Pre-bid Conference:
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Gerlach Community Center located at 410 Cottonwood Street, Gerlach, NV 89412. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Instructions to Bidders:
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
American Iron and Steel:
Public Law 113-76, Section 436 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014, along with subsequent legislation, mandates a domestic preference requirement for this project, specifically stipulating the use of American-made iron and steel. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components.
The Owner is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Bidders are to base their Bids on the Project funding being provided in whole or in part by the Owner and the State of Nevada Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. All labor classifications on this project shall be paid at the higher of the federal or state prevailing wage rates, as determined by the Davis-Bacon Act and the Nevada Labor Commission.
The Owner will only accept Bids from a Bidder who is has an ACTIVE Registration on SAM.GOV and can provide an UEI Number and CAGE Code at the time the Bid is submitted.
