MAQUON PARK SITE IMPROVEMENTS AND PAVILION
MAQUON, ILLINOIS
The VILLAGE OF MAQUON, hereinafter known as the Owner is requesting Bids for the construction of the following two Projects:
MAQUON PARK SITE IMPROVEMENTS
The project includes removal of sidewalk and existing playground mulch. The improvements include p.c.c. sidewalk, p.c.c. pavement (ADA parking space), playground equipment and mulch, water service connection, sanitary sewer service connection, pickleball / basketball courts, chainlink fence, and miscellaneous site improvements.
All bidders are hereby advised that they must be able to submit, if requested by the Owner, an Illinois Department of Transportation Pre-qualification Statement for this Project prior to opening of the Bids.
MAQUON PARK PAVILION
The project includes construction of a 26'x40' Pavilion with an 8'x26' enclosed portion with ADA accessible restrooms and a 34'x48' p.c.c. slab. The Pavilion will be post-frame / wood frame style construction with pier and grade beam foundations with ribbed metal siding and roofing.
Separate bids for both the "Maquon Park Site Improvements" project and "Maquon Park Pavilion" project will be received by the Owner at the Village Hall located at 111 W 4th Street, Maquon, IL 61458, until 6:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, March 24th, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from the due date applicable to the Project.
All bids shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft made payable to the Village of Maquon, in an amount equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft in amount to cover proposal being bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful Bidders will be returned as soon as practical, after opening and checking the bids.
Commencement of the work may begin as early as April 6th, 2026 pending the contractor's submittal of an executed contract along with the submittal of the required insurance certificate(s), bond(s), and any other miscellaneous documents. All work shall be substantially completed on or before July 17th, 2026.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner.
Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Illinois Revised Statues, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12).
Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available after 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 on the Hutchison Engineering's website at www.hutchisoneng.com under the "Contractor Bidding" tab.
