Sealed proposals will be received by Mayland Community College, in the Board Room (G-129), in Gwaltney Hall at Mayland Community College, 200 Mayland Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, up to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the 3 PEAKS CULINARY ARTS at the Three Peaks Enrichment Center, EDA GRANT # 04-79-07908
Bids will be received for Single Prime. All proposals shall be lump sum.
Pre-Bid Meeting
An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders at the project site in the Three Peaks Enrichment Center (meet at Northeast entrance), at Mayland Community College, 97 Pinebridge Ave, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, 06/09/2026. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms.
Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of Clark Nexsen-NC a division of Johnson, Mirmiram & Thompson, Inc,, 301 College Street, Suite 300, Asheville, NC 28801, during normal business hours, starting on Monday, June 1st, 2026. Plans may be obtained by contacting David Lancor at Clark Nexsen at Ph: (828)-333-6275 or by email at dlancor@clarknexsen.com. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be available for download. Or, printed copies may be ordered and obtained upon deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per set. The check shall be made out to Clark Nexsen. General Contractors may obtain 2 sets on deposit, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing may obtain 1 set on deposit. The full plan deposit will be returned to those bidders provided all documents are returned in good, usable condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. All others must purchase plans.
The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
