ADVERTISEMENT TO BID ALTERATIONS TO ERIE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY BLASCO LIBRARY CHILDREN'S AREA – Bid #24 of 2026 Sealed proposals will be received by the Erie County Controller, Room #107, Erie County Courthouse, Erie, PA 16501, until 10:30 AM prevailing time on Thursday April 22, 2026. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids will be immediately opened and read aloud for the following prime contracts: General Construction Contract Project Description: Project consists of Renovation of the Children's Area within the existing library including reconfiguring the layout, integrating furniture (by Owner), upgrading finishes, creating private areas, support for vision and healthcare services, an alternate for adding an exterior deck and related exterior work, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's or trust company treasurer's check, or approved Surety Company's bid bond, made payable to the County of Erie in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the base bid as a security. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). A mandatory pre-bid will be held at 11:00 AM prevailing time on April 1, 2026 at the Blasco Library (160 East Front St., Erie, PA 16507). Project Labor Agreement compliance shall apply. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set forth in the opening of bids.
