BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF NEVADA
APPLICATION OF LUX SOLAR CENTER, LLC TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF NEVADA FOR A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT THE LUX SOLAR CENTER AND ANCILLARY FACILITIES IN LYON COUNTY, NEVADA
Lux Solar Center, LLC (the "Company") is submitting to the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (the "Commission"), pursuant to the Utility Environmental Protection Act ("UEPA"), an Application (the "Application") for a permit to construct the Lux Solar Center, a 125 megawatt ("MW") photovoltaic solar electric generation plant and ancillary facilities on 1,348 acres of private land approximately 10 miles north of Yerington and 18 miles south of Silver Springs in Lyon County, Nevada (the "Proposed Project"). The Application is being submitted pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes ("NRS") Sections 704.820 to 704.900 and Nevada Administrative Code ("NAC") Sections 703.415 to 703.427.
The Application will include, but is not limited to:
A general description of the location of the Proposed Project.A general description of the Proposed Project.The environmental documents analyzing the environmental impact of the Proposed Project.A description of any reasonable alternate location(s) for the Proposed Project, a description of the comparative merits or detriments of each location submitted, and a statement of the reasons why the primary proposed location is best suited for the facility.Proof that a copy of the notice has been submitted to the Nevada State Clearinghouse within the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.Proof that a public notice of the application was given to persons residing in the municipalities entitled to receive notice by the publication of a summary of the application in a newspaper published and distributed in the area in which the utility facility is proposed to be located.Proof of compliance with the Nevada Department of Wildlife Energy Cost Recovery Fund Program.
A copy of the Application will be available on the Commission's website following the Company's filing of the Application. Additional information about the UEPA process and a person's right to participate in the process can be found in NRS and NAC Chapters 703 and 704.
