Bid Proposal Project: Old Courthouse Water and Sanitary Plumbing Replacement Construction Manager: Gilbane Building Company Owner: Lee County Board of County Commissioners Project Location: 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901 Plans Available: Barbara Price: bprice@gilbaneco.com Optional Pre-Bid Date: 12/04/2025 at 10:30 am Optional Pre-Bid Location: 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901 Final Date Pre-Bid RFI's Due: 12/19/2025 Anticipated Proposal Date: 12/29/2025 Project Start Date: April 1, 2026 Estimated Project Duration: 180 days Summary of Project – The project includes the replacement of the domestic water, sanitary waste and vent piping at the Old Courthouse in downtown Fort Myers. Two Tank Water Heaters are to be replaced on a one-for-one basis. The basement sump pump which serves stormwater and condensate drainage shall be replaced including associated piping and floor drains. Plumbing fixtures are to be replaced on a one-for-one basis in accordance with Lee County standards. Restrooms renovations include selective demolition of existing wall and floor sections. All interested subcontractors will be required to be pre-qualified with the Gilbane Building Company (Construction Manager) at www.compass-app.com prior to being considered for any contract award for this project. Proposers are encouraged to solicit the involvement of local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The project goal is to meet a minimum of 10% of local DBE participation. Proposers are required to comply with all Lee County E-Verify requirements as well as workplace safety.
