Borough of Neptune City - Notice of Ordinance Introductions Borough of Neptune City – Notice of Ordinance Introduction Notice is hereby given that Ordinance 2026-04 entitled "AN Ordinance of the Borough of Neptune City Monmouth County, State of New Jersey, to Exceed the 2026 Municipal Budget appropriations limits and to establish a cap bank (n.J.S.a. 40A:4-45.14)" was introduced by the Governing Body of the Borough of Neptune City at a Special Meeting held on February 27, 2026. The purpose of the ordinance is to permit the increase in the Borough's actual final appropriations for FY 2026 budget from 2.5% to 3.5% as an exception and to establish a bank for any portion not used in the 2026 budget to be retained as an exception to final appropriation in either of the next two succeeding years. The Public Hearing will be held at a Special Meeting on March 10, 2026 at 6:00 pm (or as soon thereafter the matter is reached) at 106 W Sylvania Avenue, Neptune City, NJ 07727. It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a regular meeting of the Governing Body scheduled to be held at 106 W. Sylvania Avenue, in the Borough at a Special Meeting on March 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter the matter can be reached.
