TAKE NOTICE: that the undersigned has applied to the Planning Board of the Borough of Union Beach to permit the applicant to:
"Construct a 32X90 addition to the firehouse"
For property located at 1110 Union Avenue, also known as Block 175, Lot 1 on the tax map of the Borough.
The applicant, Charles Ervin of the Union Beach Fire Co. #1 requests the following bulk/use variances, site plan, and/or minor/major subdivision:
Side yard setback 0 feet provided whereas 5 feet required (pre-existing).
Max lot coverage of 80% is provided, whereas 65% is required.
The applicant requests that the application be deemed amended to include any additional approvals, bulk variance(s), design waivers, deviations, interpretations, or exceptions which are determined to be necessary in the review and processing of this application, whether requested by the Planning Board or otherwise.
A copy of the application has been filed with the Secretary of the Planning Board and may be inspected in the Borough Clerk's office during normal business hours.
The public hearing will be held on July 29, 2026. A Workshop meeting is held at 7:00 pm, followed by the Regular Meeting at 7:15 pm. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building at 650 Poole Avenue, Union Beach, New Jersey. You may participate at said public hearing either in person or through legal counsel to present any and all objections or support you may have, and any other general comments relative to the application, so that all interested parties may be heard. Please note that the Board may, at its discretion, adjourn, postpone, or continue the hearing from time to time, and you should make inquiry of the Board Secretary and/or monitor updates on the Borough website concerning such adjournments, postponements, or continuations. In the event of such a postponement, adjournment, or continuation of this hearing, you should make inquiry of the Board Secretary concerning the date and time of the next Board meeting.
