Carolina Beretich passed away too soon on October 5, 2025, at the age of 15, in Fort Worth, Texas.
A native of Zanesville, Ohio, Carolina was adopted from the Muskingum County Dog Pound in 2012. From that day forward, she lived a full and adventurous life, calling Baltimore, Ohio; Birmingham, Alabama; and finally, Fort Worth, Texas, home.
Carolina was a devoted traveler who loved both beach trips to Florida and pit stops at Starbucks, but her greatest joy came from quiet moments at home surrounded by the family who loved her most.
In her younger years, she delighted in tearing apart stuffed toys and always enjoyed exploring new scents on walks and curling up for a good nap. A calm and constant spirit, Carolina had an unmatched ability to make everyone she met feel loved. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, of speaking your truth, and of knowing that being yourself is always enough.
Carolina leaves behind an immeasurable void in her family’s hearts and a lifetime of sweet memories for all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through a future grant established in her honor to support veterinary care needs for animals. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
