CITY OF ADELANTO NOTICE TO VOTERS OF DATE AFTER WHICH NO ARGUMENTS FOR OR AGAINST A CITY MEASURE MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY CLERK NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Adelanto on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at which the following measure will be submitted to the voters: City of Adelanto Services Measure. "Shall the measure to provide funding for Adelanto city services, such as paving streets and fixing potholes, fire protection, paramedic, and 911 response; law enforcement and crime prevention; keeping public areas and parks safe and clean; addressing homelessness; and repairing aging storm drains, pipes, bridges, and public areas by establishing a 1% transactions and use tax, providing approximately $3,000,000 annually until ended by voters, requiring audits, public spending disclosure, with all money controlled locally, be adopted?" NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 9 of the California Elections Code and Resolution No. 26-37, the City Council, any member or members authorized by the City Council, any individual voter eligible to vote on the measure, any bona fide association of citizens, or any combination thereof may file a written argument, not exceeding 300 words, for or against the measure. Arguments must be filed with the City Clerk, 11600 Air Expressway, Adelanto, California 92301, no later than Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that rebuttal arguments, not exceeding 250 words, may be filed with the City Clerk no later than Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the City Attorney's impartial analysis and all direct arguments will be available for public examination for ten (10) calendar days following the filing deadline. Rebuttal arguments will likewise be available for public examination for ten (10) calendar days following the rebuttal filing deadline, pursuant to Elections Code section 9295.
