City of Johnston Public Notice of Storm Water Discharge A contractor designated by the City of Johnston plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under NPDES General Permit No. 2 - "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities". The storm water discharge will be from the NW 62nd Avenue Improvements activities located in the South ½ of Section 6 T-79N R-24W and the North ½ of Section 7 T-79N R-24W in Polk County. Storm water will be discharged from 2-point source(s). 1-point source discharging into unnamed ditches and tributaries of Beaver Creek and 1-point source discharging into unnamed ditches and tributaries of Des Moines River. Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034.
