Ordinance No. 25-005 – Adoption of St. Clair County Drain Rules
This ordinance adopts the St. Clair County Drain Rules and Regulations and any/all future amendments, as the official standards for stormwater management and drainage design within the City of Marine City. The adopted rules establish uniform technical and procedural requirements for stormwater facilities, including design, review, construction, and maintenance. Administration and enforcement are managed by the City Manager or designee in coordination with the St. Clair County Drain Commissioner. In cases of conflict with other City ordinances, the more restrictive standard applies.

This ordinance adopts by reference the Michigan Motor Vehicle Code and the Michigan Uniform Traffic Code, including all future amendments. These state-level traffic laws are enforced locally in the same manner as City ordinances. Violations are subject to penalties provided under the adopted codes or the City's general penalty provisions. Conflicting local ordinances are repealed.
Ordinance No. 25-007 – Purchasing, Contracts, and Sale of Property Amendment
This ordinance updates the City's purchasing and contracting policies to improve clarity, transparency, and accountability. It establishes purchasing thresholds, defines required processes for open market purchases, comparative pricing, and competitive bidding, and it outlines emergency purchasing authority. The ordinance also addresses professional services, contract approval requirements, conflict-of-interest standards, and procedures for the sale or disposal of City property.
