City of New Albany Proposed FEMA Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)
The City of New Albany, Department of Public Service In accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City's intent to revise the flood hazard information for Rocky Fork and Sugar Run, generally located just north of Morse Road north to the Delaware County line. Specifically, the flood hazard information will be revised along Rocky Fork from approximately 1,000 feet upstream of U.S. Route 62 at FEMA Lettered Section U to the end of detailed study just south of Delaware County. The flood hazard information for Sugar Run will be revised from its confluence with Rocky Fork to approximately the current end of detailed study.
As a result of the revision, the floodway will widen and narrow, the 1-percent annual-chance water-surface elevations shall increase and decrease, and the 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain will widen and narrow within the area of revision.
